Shade Rants: Jordan B Peterson: World’s worst psychologist

I really despise people who use the field of psychology for ulterior motives. Jordan B. Peterson is a great example of someone who does this. Now many people who are experts in fields, attempt to comment on politics in relation to a different field. This rarely changes the fact that their actual expertise in the field they have in career in is genuine. However, with Jordan B. Peterson, I feel especially strongly that he is a charlatan. I truly believe he has experience in the field and is able to help his clients. However, he is cynical and is a … Continue reading Shade Rants: Jordan B Peterson: World’s worst psychologist

Shade Rants: I hate capitalism

I can never understand how anyone can find the ideas behind capitalism to be appealing. Put aside, whether the system works or not. I would argue that it does work, but it works in a way that is inherently destructive, cruel and for lack of a better word, evil. Yes I will be using hyperbole, exaggeration and inflammatory language in this post.¬† Because this is a rant I will leave it up to the reader to figure out how much of this is true or not. Even when I didn’t know anything about politics or socioeconomic systems I didn’t really … Continue reading Shade Rants: I hate capitalism

Mental Health and Politics

It seems that every day and every week there is some new disaster, some new reason to despair at the world and the state of it. Being informed these days is like plugging yourself into an electric chair and attempting to endure the pain of the consistent electric shocks. I have my own issues and my own life to fix and often I am my own worse enemy, but I wanted to talk more about my own feelings and my own thoughts about the world today. Often, when a male decides to talk about his emotions, it is seen as … Continue reading Mental Health and Politics

Author’s Note

Sabado has its second official release FAM. I am so excited to finally have another real post on here. Unfortunately, it is not the final draft. It is the second draft for a reason. It still feels like there is more work that can be done but I wanted to give you, the reader something to read. If you haven’t read the original story yet, now is a good time to read it. It is definitely better than the previous version of it. There are less errors and the grammar and format is way better. I do hope you enjoy … Continue reading Author’s Note

An apology

To my esteemed readers, I have had issues blogging consistently recently and for that I do apologize. I have had ideas mulling around in my head and have been dealing with a bout of depression. I will try to blog more consistently so that I have a good record approaching Halloween. My goal is to have at least three of my Muertos stories complete by then. Or at least, I would like to have drafts of all three. Understand that for everything I blog on here, I am always trying to improve whatever I post. Cheers and have a spooky … Continue reading An apology

Update

I’m very sorry for being so MIA my blog readers. Currently I am almost done finishing the second draft of Miercoles and the first draft of Lunes. I hope that I can conform to your standards, dear readers. Continue reading Update

Death Parade and how not to make an anime too long

Death Parade is one of the best anime I have ever watched in recent years. I know that that is a huge claim but hopefully I can help explain why I feel that way. But before I get into why I love it, let me speak¬† briefly about something I have been thinking about for a while. As an anime fan for years, I have seen anime and manga that have been extremely long and have overstayed their welcome. Either the story begins to get tiresome or it loses some other hook that made it great. Bleach is a great … Continue reading Death Parade and how not to make an anime too long

Anime Suggestions

Recently I have been on an anime kick and I have been enjoying it immensely. I’ve always really enjoy anime and manga but my taste has always been extremely basic. This is why I have had so much fun discovering new ones and finding out some new favorites. Here are a few suggestions to help you find new good shows. If you like shows like Naruto, or Dragon Ball, try My Hero Academia. This is perfect for the superhero buff too, as it is a take on the superhero genre from the East. This is fairly standard shonen fare but … Continue reading Anime Suggestions

Feminism is good for men too

Currently, the Supreme Court fiasco surrounding Brett Kavanaugh, an extremist GOP person who wants to be on the court, has tremendous implications for the future of the United States. Conservatives have always been very good at constantly be on the attack and have been primarily very successful by taking advantage of liberals who want to be open minded and logical. However, pure rationality and logic is not what drives politics. The Republican’s drive to crush everything the government does that they personally do not like, is emotional. It is folly to think otherwise. Rationality is nothing without morality which is … Continue reading Feminism is good for men too

Ace Attorney: My favorite characters

The Ace Attorney series immediately won me over with its brilliant music and engrossing storyline. But without the crazy and memorable characters the series wouldn’t be nearly as enjoyable. Each character is incredibly odd and fleshed out and some even have their own theme music. Here are my top ten overall characters in the Ace Attorney series. I will be including every entry including the side series starring Miles Edgeworth. My only rules are: The character has to make an impact on me, as the player, and I must be able to at least explain briefly why Limit the number … Continue reading Ace Attorney: My favorite characters

Dias de los Muertos: Domingo part 2

Author’s Note If you are enjoying this mini series so far, please leave a review and any sort of criticism you feel my stories deserve. Currently one of my stories has a rough draft out on my blog. Sabado is out but will be edited and modified and if you want to help me make the story better please leave comments and let me know what you feel the strengths and weaknesses of the story are. I am very open to any and all criticism. I have my own vision for where I want to go with these stories but … Continue reading Dias de los Muertos: Domingo part 2

Phoenix Wright: Justice for All Review

Before I continue I would like to issue some corrections to my original timeline of dates for the Ace Attorney series. The Game Boy advance titles came out in the early 2000s and the DS remakes came out in the mid to late 2000s. The visual novel games were also released on multiple platforms including, iOS, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and in the future the Nintendo Switch. The second entry in the Ace Attorney series was released in 2007 for the Nintendo DS and this is the version I played. The series is once again a port of the Game … Continue reading Phoenix Wright: Justice for All Review
