This is a rant that I gave a generic title to so that I might have the freedom to go on whatever tangents I feel I need to in this post. It has been a while since I wrote more for my essay for the upcoming project with historic.ly. The team has been churning out content and I am so very happy they are so good at what they do. Social Democracy: a Critique

Right now, social democracy is being talked about seriously again for the first time since the Great Depression. The social democratic new Deal was put into effect by the Roosevelt administration in order to mitigate the worst effects of the Great Depression and to ward off the threats of both socialism and fascism. Social Democracy is a system based on a mixed economy and a strong welfare state. It allows government intervention in order to protect citizens from the excesses of capitalism.
