Kingdom Hearts Retrospective: Pt 1

I just finished Kingdom Hearts 3 and am feeling so many complicated feelings. I am happy to finally get the 3rd installment I have been waiting for most of my adult life for. I remember playing the first game significantly after it came out due to not having a ps2 till later. I was able to buy the second game at launch and liked it a lot. Looking back on all the games I’ve played I realized that I have a lot to say and want to write. So here it goes, a part review and part retrospective of every … Continue reading Kingdom Hearts Retrospective: Pt 1

Donkey Kong and Lefties

I am so jealous that Hbomberguy and Ash Sakar got to do an interview together. These two are some of favorite people and I admit I am super jealous they got to hang out. I feel these two people are important messengers for the message of the true left. Hbomberguy is one of the best Youtube personalities out there. I discovered him when I was starting to get sick and tired of the Sargon of Akkads and people who seemed to rant about social justice warriors too much. Even when I was a supporter of people like TJ Kirk (The … Continue reading Donkey Kong and Lefties

Miles Edgeworth: Character Analysis

Miles Edgeworth is the kind of character that I end up really liking because of the strength of his character arc. It is important to note, that personally, I probably wouldn’t get along with the prolific prosecutor. He is very cool, distant, and is not very emotional. These are all things that instantly put me on guard. I am more expressive, emotional, and passionate. I also do not have his deductive reasoning abilities. However, his character arc, is so good, and makes me really love the ability of this man, to reexamine his own belief systems and attitudes, and change … Continue reading Miles Edgeworth: Character Analysis

Ace Attorney: My favorite characters

The Ace Attorney series immediately won me over with its brilliant music and engrossing storyline. But without the crazy and memorable characters the series wouldn’t be nearly as enjoyable. Each character is incredibly odd and fleshed out and some even have their own theme music. Here are my top ten overall characters in the Ace Attorney series. I will be including every entry including the side series starring Miles Edgeworth. My only rules are: The character has to make an impact on me, as the player, and I must be able to at least explain briefly why Limit the number … Continue reading Ace Attorney: My favorite characters

Phoenix Wright: Justice for All Review

Before I continue I would like to issue some corrections to my original timeline of dates for the Ace Attorney series. The Game Boy advance titles came out in the early 2000s and the DS remakes came out in the mid to late 2000s. The visual novel games were also released on multiple platforms including, iOS, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and in the future the Nintendo Switch. The second entry in the Ace Attorney series was released in 2007 for the Nintendo DS and this is the version I played. The series is once again a port of the Game … Continue reading Phoenix Wright: Justice for All Review

Review: Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney

Gyakuten Saiban, or Turnabout Lawyer, was first released in 2001 for the Nintendo DS handheld system in North America as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. The game was a port of an earlier, Japan only series of light novel games in which you played a rookie defense attorney through various cases. This series has rapidly become one of my favorites of all time. The quirky characters and great music sell it for me. But primarily, the series plays like an interactive novel, and because of this concentrates more highly on the story than the gameplay. This isn’t a recipe that works … Continue reading Review: Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney

Gaming Masala: Elder Scrolls

Gaming Masala is a new blog post type in which I type about certain controversial opinions I have about video games and anything related to video games. First of all, if you disagree with me, I think that’s awesome. I don’t think it reflects poorly on you if we disagree. In fact, I recognize that I often like things others don’t. This means I expect people not to agree with me on some things. I am interested in what you disagree with me about and your reasoning so feel free to comment and rebut. However, I will not tolerate any … Continue reading Gaming Masala: Elder Scrolls

Thesis Inspiration part 1-2

The longer I’ve been out of college the longer I have had time to wish I hadn’t lost a copy of my thesis paper. I really wanted to expand on it because I felt excited about it and felt that not only would it be helpful for others, it would help me. Call me selfish if you want, but part of the inspiration was trying to understand what made me tick more. However, to connect with others effectively, I am a strong believer in understanding yourself at some level. First of all, the basic idea behind my thesis was that, … Continue reading Thesis Inspiration part 1-2
